Reveal youthful, glowing skin with microdermabrasion. This treatment uses crystals and suction to remove dead skin and boost blood flow.

Say hello to a buffed skin glow

Every so often, our skin needs an extra pick me up beyond what at-home treatments can deliver.

To achieve that fresh-faced look, opt for some deep exfoliation in the form of microdermabrasion. Much gentler than it sounds, the treatment is safe and effective for all skin types. Our trained therapists use the very latest exfoliating technology to buff away that dull, lifeless complexion and reveal a brighter, smoother, more confident you.

How Microdermabrasion works

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that gently exfoliates and removes the dead skin cells on the skin’s outer layer. Fine crystals are sprayed onto the skin using a handheld device. A vacuum suction then removes the crystals along with unwanted skin debris.

The treatment also stimulates blood flow which can improve cell production and your skin’s elasticity and texture. The effects generally last about a month. The number of treatments you need depends on your end goal. Our therapists will discuss this during your consultation.

Please don’t use any at-home exfoliating treatments 2-3 days before your appointment. After treatment, we recommend you avoid the sun or working out for a few days and moisturise generously.

Is it right for me?
Microdermabrasion is suitable for most skin types between the ages of 16-65. The only treatment concerns is if you have a history of Rosacea, active acne or herpes, if this is the case please talk to our skin specialist who can determine if this treatment is right for you.

What are the benefits?
The benefits of Microdermabrasion are simply that it helps to brighten the skin’s appearance and also to help aid product penetration. We also highly recommend microdermabrasion two weeks post peel treatments as it can help to assist any flaking clients may experience.

Does it hurt?
Microdermabrasion is virtually painless, some clients describe the treatment as a slight itchy feeling throughout the session.

How long does it take?
Microdermabrasion treatments usually take between 20-30 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?
Treatment results will differ from person to person so your skin specialist will advise you on the number of treatments they recommend for you and your skin to meet your desired results. We suggest 6-8 treatments for most clients with a space of three weeks in between.

How long do results last?
Microdermabrasion leaves your skin looking rejuvenated and youthful, these results typically last one month.

What aftercare is involved?
A great benefit to microdermabrasion is that there is no downtime. A lot of clients notice their face has a slight redness after their treatment, rest assured this is normal. A suggestion we make to most clients is to avoid any exfoliating products for a week after your treatment, as well to avoid direct contact to the sun for up to two days to avoid sun damage.
