Forma

Forma – skin tightening

Forma is a non‑invasive radiofrequency treatment used by our trained practitioners to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin. It is designed to support gradual firming and smoothing of the treated areas over time, although responses and duration of results vary between individuals.
The treatment may be used on selected areas, including the forehead, upper and lower eyelids, the areas around the nose and mouth, the jawline and the neck, following an assessment of your skin type and medical history. Your practitioner will discuss expected benefits, limitations and potential risks before you decide whether Forma is suitable for you.

Benefits of Forma Skin Tightening

Natural‑looking appearance

May help soften the look of the skin without surgery.

Supports collagen activity

Uses radiofrequency heat to gently target the deeper skin layers.

Softens fine lines

Can improve the appearance of fine lines and mild wrinkles in treated areas.

Improves skin texture

May reduce the look of mild skin laxity and uneven texture.

Non‑surgical option

A non‑invasive treatment performed without cutting the skin.

Enhances skin elasticity

Aims to support firmer, smoother‑feeling skin over time, with outcomes varying between individuals.

How does it work

Forma uses controlled radiofrequency energy to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin. This heat is designed to support collagen production and gradual firming of the treated area over time, although individual responses and duration of effect vary. The device distributes energy across the treatment tip and includes temperature monitoring to help maintain consistent, comfortable warmth within the recommended range. Your practitioner will discuss expected benefits, limitations and potential risks before treatment.

Forma may be used for

Forma is a non‑invasive radiofrequency treatment that may be considered for people concerned about the appearance of mild skin laxity or uneven texture on the face and selected body areas. It is not suitable for everyone, and results vary between individuals.

  • It may be used, after assessment, to help improve the appearance of:
  • Fine lines and mild wrinkles
  • Mild puffiness in areas of the face and neck
  • Early loss of skin firmness
  • Jowls and nasolabial folds
  • Under‑eye bags and eyelid skin laxity
  • Uneven skin texture and tone
  • Mild skin laxity on the neck, arms, abdomen and thighs

Treatment Care Guidelines

  • Limit your direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher
  • Stop using skincare products with retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs at least 1-2 weeks before the treatment.
  • Do Not physically exfoliate your skin
  • Keep your skin well moisturized and hydrated
  • Complete 6 sessions, spaced weekly; results build gradually and typically peak 4–6 weeks after the final treatment.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers/saunas, and sun exposure for 2–3 days post-treatment; keep skin hydrated and apply SPF 30+ daily.
  • Schedule maintenance sessions every 6–12 months or as recommended by your provider to sustain tightening benefits.

Possible effects following treatment may include:

  • Discomfort: You may experience discomfort during or after the procedure. Over-the-counter pain relief may be used if needed
  • Swelling: Swelling in the treated area may occur and can last up to one week
  • Bruising or discoloration: Temporary bruising or purple discoloration may appear in the treated area
  • Burns: Burns ranging from mild to severe may occur in the treatment area. While minor burns typically heal without issue, more severe burns can lead to scarring, changes in sensation, or pigmentation changes
  • Changes in skin pigmentation: Lightening (hypopigmentation) or darkening (hyperpigmentation) of the skin may occur, which can be temporary or permanent
  • Scarring: While minimal, scarring can occur when the skin surface is affected. Following post-treatment care instructions carefully helps minimize this risk
  • Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions to anesthetic, topical products, or oral medications are possible
  • Herpes outbreak: If you carry the herpes simplex virus (HSV), an outbreak may occur even with antiviral prevention. Contact your practitioner immediately if you experience pain, skin eruptions, or blistering after treatment
  • Infection: Though uncommon, infection is possible following any skin treatment. Signs include redness, fever, pain, pus, or swelling. If these symptoms occur, immediate medical evaluation and treatment are necessary
